Our activities
We work tirelessly to raise the profile of marketing in the region and champion professional marketing practices.

We do this in a variety of ways - school talks, higher education presentations, free marketing clinics at business fairs, speaking engagements, judging awards, supporting local business activities, SME workshops and lots more!

Student competition
Once again we are delighted to have McCann Manchester sponsoring and hosting our annual student competition, The Pitch, which is now in its third decade. Find out more by downloading The Pitch in the related downloads section.

We are always on the look out for marketing talent and award a number of prizes each year. For the roster of past award winners please see related downloads.

Marketing clinics
In addition to our own events, we are actively involved in the wider business community and other events across the region. For example we support The Enterprise Shows each spring that run across Yorkshire and Humber providing free marketing clinics by local Chartered Marketers who are just waiting to help you and your business.

Members can access a case study presentation on Hallmark, Fit for the Future, in the member area.

Assisting marketing practitioners
Paul Rowse, a Fellow of the Institute, living in Yorkshire, has written a book for marketing practitioners called My Marketing Miscellany. All proceeds from the sale of the book go to the Institute's Benevolent Fund.
